About Us
since 2020
The organization originated in 2020 to support the needs of youth
through the COVID pandemic. BTC has provided virtual services for Black
girls across the GTA to develop their sense of identity, self esteem, and
inform educational pathways and planning
As, BTC Be the Change is still in its early stages, the organization has
secured trusteeship from Experience Life Community Services to build
capacity in service delivery

Black Girls Rock
Created out of the need to connect during the COVID-19 pandemic, the weekly workshops build the identity, self-esteem, soft skills and knowledge of educational pathways for young Black girls across the GTA

Pathways to Post-Sec
The program supports Black parents and families of youth 13-21 navigate pathways regarding high school & post secondary education. BTC will primarily engage with Black families who are unaware of their options as it pertains to post secondary education and with Black families who express the need for assistance in understanding the education system and the secondary school applications process
